The 2019 HHW Event is scheduled for Saturday, November 2,  from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lloyd Noble Center's southwest parking lot, 2900 S. Jenkins Avenue.

What you need to know:

  • Bring proof that you are a Norman resident
  • Keep products in their original containers
  • Don't mix chemicals
  • There is no charge for disposal of your HHW

There are some types of waste we are not able to accept at this event. They include: radioactive waste, explosives, business-generated waste, yard waste, compressed gas or containers, biomedical waste (with the exception of sharps), and household trash.

We can accept automotive fluids, car batteries and NiCd batteries,  computers and other e-waste, TVs, craft and hobby supplies, flammable solvents, household cleaners, medicine, paint, paint thinners and Turpentine, pool chemicals, pesticides-herbicides-fertilizer; and metal appliances such as refrigerators. We can accept sharps if they are in a rigid container such as a laundry detergent bottle.

Tires will not be accepted at this event but are accepted year-round, at no charge, at the Norman Transfer Station, 3901 Chautauqua.  Oil, oil filters, and antifreeze is accepted year-round at the Transfer Station also.
