UPDATE: Robinson Partially Closed at Rambling Oaks and Crossroads

An update to previously announced lane closings on Robinson includes the
southernmost eastbound lane from just before Rambling Oaks to Interstate Drive
will be closed, and new lane closure times for this phase of the construction
are from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Saturday and all day on Sunday.

The south lane of eastbound Robinson Street remains closed for approximately 700
feet as it approaches Rambling Oaks. Rambling Oaks will continue to be reduced
to one southbound lane for approximately 300 feet south of Robinson.  In
addition, the southbound right turn lane of Crossroads Boulevard north of
Robinson will continue to be closed. The southbound through lane and left turn
lane on to Robinson remain open.

These lane closures will be in effect through late-September, weather permitting, for
construction of the new 30-inchwaterline along Robinson Street.

Alternate eastbound routes to access 24 Avenue NW or I-35 are Main Street, Rock Creek
Road, or Tecumseh Road.

Warning and detour signs will be in place to assist motorists.

If weather cooperates, the Robinson Street Waterline Replacement is expected to be
completed by the end of March 2017. McKee Utility Contractors, Inc., under
contract with the Norman Utilities Authority, is the contractor for the
waterline project.

Questions may be directed to Chris Mattingly, City of Norman capital projects engineer,
at 217-7778.
