Job Description
Perform general maintenance work including litter removal, cleaning of buildings, mowing, weed eating, and painting. Remove debris from stormwater channels, assist maintenance crews as required, and operate city equipment. Works in a manner safe to the individual and public. Follows safety rules and safe work practices. Uses safety equipment as required. Specific duties and other responsibilities may vary.
Working Conditions: 
Frequent exposure of up to 80% of work time to dirt, dust, extreme temperatures, noise, and noxious fumes and odors. Exposure to hazards associated with equipment, machinery, upgraded terrain at construction sites, insect bites, poisonous plants, and moving vehicles on roadways. Work may be performed in inclement weather. Must have the stamina to exert self throughout the day in all weather conditions.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience: 
Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
Ability to perform general maintenance work. Ability to work in extreme heat. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to operate City equipment.
License and/or Certification: 
Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
Mental & Physical: 
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy (25-50 lb.) and heavy (50-75 lb.) supplies, materials, and debris frequently. Work requires continued walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing; and dexterity to operate machinery and tools on uneven surfaces. Ability to maintain regular, predictable and punctual attendance.
