Robinson to close at Rambling Oaks and Crossroads

The south lane of eastbound Robinson Street will be closed for approximately 700 feet as it approaches Rambling Oaks starting at 9 a.m. Friday. Rambling Oaks will be reduced to one southbound lane for approximately 300 feet south of Robinson. In addition, the southbound right turn lane of Crossroads Boulevard north of Robinson will also close. The southbound through lane and left turn lane on to Robinson will remain open.

The lane closures will be in effect through mid-September, weather permitting, for construction of the new 30-inch waterline along Robinson Street. Throughout the project the lane closures will be in place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and all day on Sundays.

Alternate eastbound routes to access 24th Avenue NW or I-35 are Main Street, Rock Creek Road, or Tecumseh Road.

Warning and detour signs will be in place to assist motorists.

If weather cooperates, the Robinson Street Waterline Replacement is expected to be completed by the end of March 2017. McKee Utility Contractors, Inc., under contract with the Norman Utilities Authority, is the contractor for the waterline project.
