New Traffic Signal at 36th Avenue NW and Havenbrook Street
Work began this week on the construction of a new traffic signal at the intersection of 36th Avenue NW and Havenbrook Street and the widening of 36th Avenue NW to create dedicated left turn lanes at Havenbrook Street. The project will also upgrade the traffic signals interconnect cable between Main Street and Robinson Street.
The $1,105,800 project is funded with 80% federal and 20% local funds, and is scheduled to be completed in early July.
The project will be constructed without closing the road. However, routine lane closures will be necessary for the safety of construction workers and the traveling public, and will be established using proper signage, channelizing devices, and barricades. Access to area businesses will be maintained at all times.
Silver Star Construction Company of Moore will be doing the construction under the guidance of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
