Jackson Drive closes between 24th Avenue East and Lone Oak Drive Monday

All lanes of Jackson Drive will be closed between 24th Avenue East and Lone Oak Drive from 8 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Wednesday for the installation of a 16” water line.  This street is one of two access points to the Royal Oaks Subdivision.  A detour route will be posted to direct traffic to use Newman Street. 

 

Flood Ave. narrowed at Robinson St. through Thursday morning for emergency water main repairs

The right lane of northbound Flood Ave. is closed at Robinson St. for emergency water main repairs. City Water Line Maintenance crews are on-site working to repair the break, and a contractor will be hired to re-pour the damaged concrete street. The closure is expected to last through 7 a.m. Thursday, weather pending. Drivers should plan extra travel time or locate an alternate route.

Newman St. closes between 24th Ave. East and Lone Oak Dr. Monday

Newman St. will be closed between 24th Ave. East and Lone Oak Dr. beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, March 18. This closure is expected to last approximately three hours for the installation of a 16-inch water line. This street is one of two access points to the Royal Oaks Subdivision. A detour route will be posted to direct traffic to use Jackson Drive.

City recognized at Oklahoma Arbor Week Kickoff Celebration

The City of Norman was one of 38 organizations from across Oklahoma honored at the March 7 Oklahoma Forestry Services and Oklahoma Urban and Community Forestry Council’s annual Arbor Week Kickoff.

Norman residents will have the opportunity to get their questions about the Vision for Norman proposals answered before the April 2 election at two separate open houses this weekend:

Water service interrupted for Royal Oaks Subdivision Thursday

Residents of the Royal Oaks Subdivision can expect water service interruption from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 7 for ongoing utility relocation work. The contractor relocating the thirty-inch waterlines on 24th Avenue SE, between Alameda Street and Lindsey Street will be installing a new waterline valve. This nature of the work requires that the waterline is shut off.
