Our site is currently under construction. Check below for important updates.
***City Pet License Information*** Norman Animal Welfare is currently negotiating a deal with an outside partner to assist us with the administration of city pet licenses. We hope to have everything in place by April 2017. Unfortunately, we can not process any requests for 2017 city pet licenses. Renewal notices and advertising for new licenses will be sent out in the coming months. The new process will greatly enhance customer service including the ability to purchase or renew licenses online. Please be patient with us and we are sure you will like the new process.
***New Hours*** The Norman Animal Welfare Center will have new hours beginning January 3, 2017. Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4p.m. We will be closed on Sundays and the second Wednesday of every month. The new hours will assit staff in better serving our citizens and customers.
***Phone calls*** Did you know the Norman Animal Welfare Center receives more than 100 phone calls per day and over 250 visitors per week? We do our best to answer, but our staff is also busy helping customers at the facility and caring for the animals. If you have an emergency that requires immediate assistance from an Animal Welfare Officer or Police Officer, call 9-1-1. If your call is not an emergency, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we can.
***Trap Rentals*** Norman Animal Welfare does rent traps at no cost to citizens. However, for the safety of the animal, the temperature must remain above freezing for 7 consecutive days.
Thank you for visiting our site and check back for future updates. We ask that you remain patient with us as we try to improve this site and provide timely information to our citizens.
